I got rotation working.
I had some weird problems along the way.

Collision detection currently supports axis aligned bounding boxes only. Basic gravity and movement implemented. Basic animation. This is where things are now.
We were originally trying to use Box2D for physics, but it was too complicated, especially for slopes. I worked for a few hours on my own physics engine, and I already got a basic version of slopes working. I used the concepts from this article (type #2).
